The Danube Delta Biosphere is recognised by the Man & Biosphere (MAB) programme of UNESCO and is included in the network of world Biospheres.
It is listed as a Wetland of International importance under the Ramsar Convention and is included in the Strictly Protected Areas in the WORLD HERITAGE LIST under the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Convention. The Delta hosts an amazing range of habitats and life forms in a relatively small area and is a museum of biodiversity, a natural inventory of incalculable value for the worldwide natural heritage.
Designed in the tradition of riverside villages of the delta, the Danube Delta resort is a retreat created for ornithologists and naturalists as well as other pursuits and activities normally associated with the country such as riding, fishing and general exploration of wild habitat.
